Summer is winding down, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end! Get the kids out for FREE neighborhood moving screenings in Jefferson Park and Baldwin Hills!
First, In collaboration with National Night Out, an annual campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, Jefferson Park’s United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council (UNNC) is hosting a Movie in the Park the evening of Tuesday, August 7 at Leslie Shaw Park on Jefferson Boulevard. Come out for a screening of Disney-Pixar’s Coco as well as free food and refreshments at 7pm. Movie starts at 8pm. For additional details, click here.
And on Thursday, August 9, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza is hosting a free outdoor moving screening of Michael Jordan’s classic Space Jam. The film begins at dusk, and all of the details can be found here. There will be a live DJ as well as giveaways before the movie starts. You can also engage on social media using the official hashtag #BHCMovieNights to win special prizes. Plus, there will be food trucks serving food and beverages for purchase.
