Destination Crenshaw, the 1.3-mile outdoor museum celebrating Black history and culture along Metro’s upcoming Crenshaw line, broke ground on Saturday, February 29.
The centerpiece–where the groundbreaking took place–will be Sanofka Park, built at the intersection of Leimert and Crenshaw Boulevards. There, per Curbed LA, neighbors will find an elevated structure and viewing platform that will allow visitors to look north to the world-famous Hollywood Sign and south along Crenshaw Boulevard, the historic main street of Black Los Angeles.
